Rapper was arrested in Sweden this week
Rapper G-Eazy has reportedly avoided jail time after pleading guilty to charges of assault and drug possession in Sweden.
According to reports, the star was arrested on Wednesday (May 2) in Stockholm for allegedly attacking a security guard and being found in possession of cocaine by police.
Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reports that the rapper (real name Gerald Earl Gillum) admitted to all three counts of “assaulting an officer, violent resistance and illegal drug possession”.
In a police interrogation, Gillum is said to have admitted that he hit a bouncer four times because his friends felt like they had been treated disrespectfully.
The Blast reports that the rapper has since been released from custody and intends to leave Sweden as soon as possible. His next live date is in Copenhagen on May 6.
Gillum’s Swedish lawyer Mikael Westerlund told the publication that the rapper is now a “free man” after receiving no jail time as part of his conviction. Further details of his punishment are not known.
G-Eazy’s press representatives have not yet responded to the reports.
The Oakland rapper released his third album ‘The Beautiful & Damned’ in December.
